SINBAD. PRE-READING ACTIVITY: OUR PREDICTIONS (3rd "B")

We worked with some words, which appear in the pre-reading activity of the book, and made our own Sinbad story.

CAPTAIN - SEA MONSTER - SHIP - JEWELS - ISLAND - RAFT - WHALE - STORM

Sinbad is the captain of a ship. One day, there is a huge storm and a sea monster destroys the ship. A whale rescues Sinbad and the sailors. They get to an island on a raft. In the island, they find many jewels and become rich.

These are some of our ideas (3rd A)

  • Sinbad is in the ship. A flash of lightening falls on the ship and he has to make a raft.
  • A sea monster attacks the ship but Sinbad kills it.
  • During a storm, a sea monster attacks Sinbad´s ship but a whale attacks it and saves Sinbad.
  • They go to an island but they find a whale. They are confused.
  • A flash of lightening kills the captain and Sinbad becomes the captain of the ship.
  • The ship sinks and they make a raft.
  • The flash of lightening falls on the whale and transforms it into a sea monster.
  • A monster attacks the ship but the captain finds and island to hide. On the island they find a treasure chess with jewels.
  • The ship is in the sea. A storm begins and the ship sinks. Sinbad makes a raft. A sea monster attacks the raft. Sinbad sinks, but a whale appears and takes him to an island. On the island he sees a woman. She is a captain. She invites Sinbad to live on the island. There are many jewels there.
